I’m a mom on a mission to provide myself and family a simple and healthy lifestyle. I was shocked at the chemicals and overload of ingredients in products that my family and I used everyday. I picked up as many books and movies I could get my hands on and started figuring out what I could do to make a difference. Wasn’t long until my interest shifted from what goes on our bodies to what goes in our bodies.
My goal has been to educate my family so they can make healthy and good decisions for their own lives. In recent months I have been pleased with their encouragement and interest. My son, Blake, is using and helping make homemade products like soaps and toothpaste while trying veggie burgers and eating pudding made from avocados! He sometimes says, “Well, it tastes healthy,” but seeing my son drink a GREEN smoothy that he witnessed me put spinach in, is a sight that months ago I would have bet $100 would never happen. This reassures
me that my own lifestyle changes and the excitement I’ve portrayed has been rubbing off! My body and pocketbook are loving our new life but more on that later

Message from Blake, he is a part of this too!

“welcome to katecares I am kates son blake and I am 6
I hope you are eating your greens like me and my mom kate. me and my mom kate are on a journey to a very healthy life.”

He came up with and typed this all on his own. CUTE! 🙂

  1. Your son is adorable, and what a smart little guy! Great message!
We are on the same mission at our house, and I’m always trying to fuel my four year old with nutritious and delicious food! I can relate to your story, and I look forward to checking out more of your recipes.
    Sophia 🙂
